CDRA Workshop & Spatial Strategies Review – Municipality of Santa Fe, Cebu

The Municipality of Santa Fe hosted a one-day technical workshop as part of its continuing efforts to strengthen local planning and resilience initiatives. Representatives, led by Ramon Vios Jr., Nina Christine Pajaron, Niceforo Nacaytuna Iroy, Ar. Marlon, and Ely Z. Saavedra, joined Ar. Stephanie N. Gilles UAP Diliman in facilitating the discussions.

The session focused on the Climate and Disaster Risk (CDRA), beginning with a review of the municipality’s existing vision, an evaluation of gaps between planning ideals and on-ground realities, and a community-based resource mapping activity. The workshop culminated in drafting risk-informed spatial strategies to guide Santa Fe’s land-use directions, infrastructure priorities, and development decisions.
MPDC Engr. Jeffrey Zamora and the local planning team actively collaborated throughout the workshop, supported by the municipal government and Santa Fe Mayor, who emphasized the municipality’s commitment to building resilient and sustainable communities.

This activity aligns with the UAP’s national thrust to promote Visionary Initiatives and strengthen the role of architects in shaping resilient and sustainable communities.
