October 29, 2025 – The United Architects of the Philippines Diliman Chapter, represented by Ar. Pablo Suarez, attended the launch of the new Quezon City Green Building Code of 2025, organized by the Quezon City Government in partnership with C40 Cities and the UK-funded Urban Climate Action Programme (UCAP).
The event highlighted the updated provisions of the GCBC, its implementing rules, and its alignment with the Enhanced Local Climate Change Action Plan. Panel discussions tackled sustainable building practices, cross-sectoral collaboration, and climate action strategies for local development.
UAP Diliman’s presence supported the National thrust on Visionary Initiatives, particularly in promoting sustainability, climate resilience, and green architecture within the professional practice. The engagement also strengthened linkages with LGUs and climate action bodies working toward environmental stewardship.
