Paddle Up! 2.0 – UAP Diliman Pickleball Open Play + Golf Basics Tutorial

UAP Diliman held Paddle Up! 2.0 – Pickleball Open Play on November 16, 2025 at the Mira Nila Basketball Court. The event gathered officers and members for an energetic afternoon of sports, camaraderie, and casual bonding.

Participants formed rotating teams, playing friendly matches that encouraged interaction between committees and new members. The Sports Committee facilitated the flow of games, ensuring everyone—beginners and experienced players alike—had time on the court. Refreshments were shared, creating a relaxed and supportive environment.

More than a game day, the activity served as a community-builder. Members enjoyed laughter-filled rallies, friendly competition, and meaningful conversations between matches, fostering stronger bonds and a sense of belonging within the chapter.

The event directly advances UAP’s national thrust of Member Empowerment, as it strengthens interpersonal relationships, supports member well-being, and provides spaces for connection beyond professional engagements.

Following the Paddle Up! 2.0 pickleball event earlier in the day, UAP Diliman members gathered at the home of Past President Dean Danny Silvestre in Mira Nila Homes for a spontaneous and warm fellowship evening.

A special highlight of the night was Golf Basics with PP Dan, where he introduced the group to the foundations of golf, including proper posture, swing mechanics, grip, ball alignment, and balance. PP Dan conducted live demonstrations and personally guided participants as they tried the swings themselves. Members were able to practice using real equipment, making the session interactive, fun, and informative.

The fellowship started with pizza, pasta, cocktails, music, and lively conversations. Members shared laughter, stories, and light discussions that strengthened chapter camaraderie and helped new volunteers feel welcome within the Diliman family.

This activity goes beyond social bonding—it supports Member Empowerment, one of the pillars of UAP’s MOVERS OF PROGRESS thrust, by promoting wellness, shared learning, and community connection in a relaxed environment.
