Heray Bayanihang Arkitektura campaign, UAP Diliman is proud to launch a meaningful project: the development of a standard model starter classroom—a DepEd-compliant, typhoon-resilient 2-classroom structure designed for quick construction in communities that need learning spaces the most.
Facing “the big one”
UAP Diliman’s CPD seminar “Facing The Big One” gathered over 300 architects, students, and professionals last August 16, 2025 to prepare for a major earthquake. Featuring experts from DOST, UP College of Architecture, and the DOH, the event highlighted seismology updates, resilient building design, hospital safety, legal issues, and post-disaster recovery. With lectures, workshops, and case studies, the seminar equipped architects with practical strategies for earthquake preparedness and disaster-resilient architecture in the Philippines.
