The UAP QC Diliman Chapter participated in the UAP A1 BUILDEX, a district convention held last January 22-24 organized under UAP District A-1B that featured CPD lectures and professional forums aimed at strengthening architectural practice and industry engagement.
UAP QC Diliman Chapter member Ar. Elda Shina P. Salazar-Samoza served as one of the CPD speakers and presented the DOH Hospitals Safe From Disaster Program, including selected components of the DOH Hospital Safety Index Tool. Her lecture focused on disaster preparedness, risk assessment, and resilience strategies for healthcare facilities, with particular relevance to provinces such as Isabela that are identified as having high disaster risk and vulnerability. The discussion also highlighted the applicability of the HSFD framework to other building typologies beyond healthcare facilities.
The Chapter’s participation reflects its commitment to professional growth, knowledge-sharing, and member empowerment, in support of the UAP National thrust MOVERS OF PROGRESS.
