September 4, 2025 — The UAP Diliman Chapter, in partnership with the Rotary Club of San Juan West, Yellow Boat of Hope Foundation, and Nabuclod Integrated School, conducted a site visit for the upcoming CSR and Green Architecture project.
The activity focused on assessing the location for the Yellow Boat of Hope Starter Classroom for Aeta students. The ocular covered the condition of the existing classroom, comfort rooms, and water supply systems. The team also examined the terrain and accessibility of the site to inform the design process.
A meeting with the school board was held to discuss their needs, concerns, and possible support for the project. This collaboration aims to ensure that the classroom design will be functional, culturally responsive, and beneficial to the local community.
This initiative aligns with the UAP National thrust by promoting Visionary Initiatives in resilient school planning, Justice to the Profession by asserting the architect’s role in nation-building, and Member Empowerment through active service engagement.
